Service Description

Your first shockwave therapy appointment includes a comprehensive assessment of your symptoms, confirmation of the likely diagnosis and screening to ensure shockwave therapy is appropriate for you. Where clinically indicated, your first shockwave treatment will be provided during this appointment. You will also receive personalised rehabilitation and activity guidance to support your recovery. Shockwave therapy is commonly used for persistent tendon conditions including plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, tennis or golfer’s elbow, patellar tendinopathy, calcific shoulder tendinopathy and greater trochanteric pain syndrome. Shockwave therapy is available at our Girton clinic only.
